IMPACT RX

ImpactRX is the most advanced sports prescription lens program in the world: Impact RX lenses are made of the same proprietary material as the ImpactX photochromic lenses. They are created individually, using the wearer's prescription, but also the wearing parameters processed by digital calculations to maximize a full field of view and prevent distortion in wraparound sports eyewear. Impact RX lenses guarantees a 180° field of vision and protection all while providing a visual feeling that is comparable to daily prescription glasses. The primary advantages of ImpactRX are: incredible impact resistance that guarantees maximum eye protection, and a photochromic feature with mass pigments that transition with perfect color uniformity. The revolutionary ImpactRX program is available for many Rudy Project technical performance sunglasses and the Optical In-Set platform allows for the integration of ophtalmic lenses within the Tralyx shield lens.

SUF

The S.U.F. models – Vulcan, Impulse e Maya - acronym of  Sport Utility Frame, feature a removable optical clip which can be easily inserted or removed according to the demands of the wearers . The design and innovative materials make SUF models  perfect for sports and everyday life thanks to a wide range of colors and frames. The SUF frames choose prescription lenses made by any material, any treatment and almost any correction power either single vision or progressive. Thanks to the all new Vulcan, sports prescription wearers can exploit the endless possibilities of the Rudy Project Custom Program choosing among many combinations of temple tips, emblems and prescription clips. Without screws (clips, temples, temple tips and enhancers)  all the part are easily removable allowing to customize your Vulcan.

DIRECT CLIPS

Direct Clips allow opticians to easily refine the edges of corrective lenses in their own laboratories without the use of complex cutting machinery: allowing for the maintenance of a wide field of vision and an expanded prescription range when as compared to the ImpactRX program. The clips have the same curvature as the frame, so opticians will need to use a specific optical design for curved lenses. Nylor mounting naturally requires the use of high resistance materials, suitable for withstanding the stress of sports use.

FLIP UP

Flip Up glasses – such as the Impulse, Exception and Maya - utilize quick change-technology- and offer some of our most popular plano lenses. Flip Up allows the solar filters to be raised or lowered quickly over prescription lenses.

OPTICAL INSERT

RX Optical Insert, an entry level clip that provides a best value prescription solutions. These corrective optical clips are specifically designed for patients needing only slight vision correction. The RX Optical Insert can be inserted just behind the plano lens. Thanks, to our patented "easy-in, easy-out" system the clips can be effortlessly inserted or removed. This is particularly useful for patients who wears contact lenses or for easy lens cleaning. The RX Optical Insert, available for almost every Rudy Project sunglasses of the collection, allows to experience the umcompromising comfort and performance of our models while keeping investment in corrective lenses to a minimum.  Easy rx-able with its customizable nylor mount, this insert will fit all configurations, including the iconic Tralyx, Sintryx or Fotonyk, using the included proprietary nosepiece interface.

OPTICAL DOCK

The Optical Dock family is a recent introduction, and for opticians it represents a valuable opportunity. Optical Dock models, such as the Rydon, Fotonyk and Stratofly, allow any material to be used for prescription lenses, including "stock" lenses. With this system, lateral protection and stability in the event of impact are maintained. The lateral field of vision is slightly more limited compared to other optical solutions, but the range of prescriptions is incredibly broad - allowing vision to be corrected from -7.0 to + 6.0 dioptres and in some cases even more. Optical Dock is the perfect solution for patients who needs substantial vision correction and want to benefit from the design, technology and comfort of Rudy Project sunglasses

INTUITION

Intuition is the ophthalmic glasses designed for those who have sports etched in their DNA. Rudy Project's Intuition model combines all our most advanced features and materials into a design that's ideal for everyday use. These seemingly traditional glasses thus subtly embody the racing spirit within an exceptionally lightweight Grilamid frame, which guarantee high impact resistance and streamlined design of their temples, adorned with racing ornamentation. The completely adjustable hypoallergenic temple tips along with two available sizes of rubber nosepads ensure an unbeatable fit for all day comfort.

The “Form C” of the Intuition now allows to mount also standard progressive lenses providing three available sizes for the discerning patient.
